Hi,
I have the 10g Grid EM running with Version 10.1.0.3.
My two hosts Linux and installed with 10.1.0.4 have one database. The Agent is running on both. Now I would like to create an standby database via Grid Control.
It starts up until to Step 3 "Standby Orace Home". On this screen normaly it should be possible to select the standby host. But here I saw only the Primary host.
Has anybody the same problem ??

Another question was:
If I had no database on the Standby Host. How must I configure the EM Agent, so that this host is shown in the Grid control.
In the documentation is no option for the emca tool to configure only a host or node ??

regards

Stefan

Hi,
for your info. There is an BUG in EM Grid for DataGUard. The tool can't handle databases which are located on RAW-Devices.
The call is still open.

Hi,
the Bug will be fixed in 10g Rel2.
In the meantime we try to configure the physical Standby manually
which means we try to use the RMAN with duplicate for standby to setup the database.
It should be possible to integrate than this standby database in the Grid Control to do the administration and monitoring.

regards
Stefan
