Hi,

We are trying to enable the ARCHIVELOG mode.

We shut down the Oracle server in SVRMGR and type the following commands:

CONNECT INTERNAL
STARTUP MOUNT EXCLUSIVE
ALTER DATABASE ARCHIVELOG
ALTER DATABASE OPEN
ARCHIVE LOG START

When alter database commands are typed, SVRMGR does not respond or give a message. Then give a number listing for each command line.

Any Suggestions?
