I am trying to create a new database (1st one)and I keep on getting the error ORA-12560 TNS Protocol Adapter Error. This is the 1st database on the server.

Help, Anyone?

TNS protocol adapter error means that your user does not able locate your server even when it is on same machine.Try following step
1 check your connection to database through net8 assistant test.
2 If it shows an error than go to local service name and delete the old service name then recreate the service name for the database.Then again retry to connect your user to database.
