Is it possible to quickly sync a former primary database with the new Standby after failover?
If possible without dataguard or third party (like dbvisit, tvdstandby, shareplex)?.

Scenario:
MyOld site x running
MyStandby remote site y running
Continuous applying logs to MyStandby.
MyOld takes a long nap.
Failover to MyStandby (yey promotion), processing new entries.
(open database reset logs)

Goal: Reuse MyOld as standby when it wakes up without transferring terabytes across the network.

New situation:
MyStandby: primary
MyOld: standby

You can this if you have enabled database flashback. But as flashback requires Enterprise Edition licences, which I don't think you have or you would be using Data Guard, there is no way.
