Oracle GoldenGate Command Interpreter for Oracle
Version 11.1.1.0.0 Build 078
Windows (optimized), Oracle 11 on Jul 28 2010 17:20:29

Personal Oracle Database 11g Release 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP, Data Mining and Real Application Testing options

I'm having issues with the DBLOGIN command, below is what I am observing.

GGSCI (LIVLT0132117) 1> dblogin userid gg, password gg
ERROR: Failed to open data source for user GG.

GGSCI (LIVLT0132117) 3> dblogin userid sys, password oracle sysdba
Successfully logged into database.

GGSCI (LIVLT0132117) 4> dblogin userid gg, password gg
Successfully logged into database.

Any idea why the GG user cannot connect until after a sysdba user has?

The problem went away on granting select any dictionary to GG_SRC.
